 Japanese Language 5

Level 5 (Upper-intermediate)

Class Goals and Outline

International and Japanese students will consider the characteristics of structure and usage in the Japanese (and sometimes the international students' native) language. We will address grammar that is difficult for non-native Japanese learners to grasp or use correctly, and discuss how to explain it clearly with the Japanese students. The international students will discuss how Japanese is different from or similar to their native languages, and deepen their understanding of the structure of the Japanese language.
